Multi-Physics of Dynamic Elastic Metamaterials and Earthquake Systems

چکیده

Microstructured materials, namely metamaterials, are one of the most relevant topics recent period due to their interdisciplinary nature. Driven by wide range applications, we provide an overview a class elastic solids which embed dynamic microstructures capable trapping energy when subject loads. Based on recently developed modeling approaches, show several applications related wave cloaking, filtering and also multi-structured surfaces, often referred as meta-surfaces. These culminate in analysis practical example, based real-life seismic event induced hydrofracture exploration. The latter shows viability vibration assessment response, role meta-surfaces localisers vibrations, e.g. suggesting non-periodic earthquake tolerant design strategies housing estates.
